The best way to introduce a brand and its services is to show them through video, one of the most engaging mediums. Knowing this, DEG collaborated with ProSource to bring the brand’s visions to life in front of the camera.

The strategy

DEG identified ProSource’s target audiences and outlined what aspects of the brand’s new website and in-store features would resonate most within the video. The agency then created a storyboard representation of the video—from beginning to end—demonstrating how the spot could showcase the new branding and services for the wholesaler.

The solution

Knowing ProSource caters to two distinct audiences with differing needs—homeowners and trade professionals—DEG scripted two video narratives, focusing on what mattered to that audience and highlighting the ease and benefit for ProSource’s resources. The agency took care to ensure the situations shown in the videos were relatable for both customer types.

DEG also provided strategy for the development and deployment of the videos across ProSource’s digital channels. The agency then contracted and managed a production company to scout talent, shoot the video, record the voiceover, and handle post-production.

The outcome

ProSource debuted the two videos at its winter convention, showcasing how trade professionals manage projects online, and homeowners search for inspiration on the brand’s website.
