J.D. Henning is the Director of Loyalty Marketing at DEG, a trusted digital marketing partner to national and global brands. As Director of Loyalty, J.D. leads the creation and maintaining of loyalty programs, using analytics, finance models, and marketing technology to help DEG clients retain and grow their customer bases. J.D. brings nearly 30 years of loyalty marketing experience to DEG, spending time on the client, consulting, and agency sides. He remains intrigued by the growing complexity of loyalty marketing, and motivated to discover the right combination of features to best suit each client and its customers.

Prior to joining DEG, J.D. spent time working on Holiday Inns Worldwide’s Priority Club loyalty program, held various positions within Carlson Marketing’s loyalty division, and was a consultant for McKinsey’s CRM practice. Most recently, J.D. led the HSB Marketing team that helped run the Hallmark Cards Crown Rewards loyalty program. Along with his work at DEG, JD gives back to the Kansas City community by pro bono work for the Kansas City performing arts.

JD received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Economics from Simpson College before earning his MBA, with an emphasis in marketing, from Indiana University. Away from the office, he spends time relaxing on the lake, rooting on his favorite sports teams, and spending time with his family.
