Jeff Rondeau, CMS Engineering Team Lead at DEG, was among the 329 professionals worldwide to receive the Sitecore MVP designation for 2018, which was announced on January 31.
“I’m honored to be recognized as an MVP and am thankful to DEG for enabling and supporting me in my pursuit of this status.”
— Jeff Rondeau, Sitecore Technology MVP
Rondeau was named a Technology MVP—one of four Sitecore MVP categories—making him one of just 208 recognized by the leading content management platform as someone “who actively participates in online and offline communities to share his or her knowledge and expertise with other Sitecore partners and customers,” according to the release. Rondeau is the first DEG associate to receive Sitecore MVP status.
“I’m honored to be recognized as an MVP and am thankful to DEG for enabling and supporting me in my pursuit of this status,” Rondeau said. “I’m excited to be a part of such an elite group of experts, and look forward to the opportunities it will afford DEG’s Sitecore practice.”
Along with leading the development of Sitecore websites for some of DEG’s largest clients, Rondeau has made a number of contributions within the Sitecore community. These contributions include developing Elision, an open-source Sitecore development accelerator; presenting multiple topics at the Sitecore Symposium; and blogging, to name of few.
As an MVP, Rondeau will earn exclusive perks, such as early product releases and resources and invitations to MVP discussion forums and the MVP Summit. MVPs must be nominated by either a current MVP or Sitecore employee before being evaluated by a Sitecore employee panel. Rondeau will serve a one-year term, with the ability to renew his status on an annual basis. This year’s MVPs were selected from more than 31 countries and 160 companies around the world.
