OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (Oct. 5, 2020) – Full service agency DEG, a Merkle Company took home three honorable-mention awards at the Sitecore Experience Awards announced during Sitecore Symposium 2021.
Sitecore recognized the agency in the Best Digital Experience Transformation category for its work with Provista and Consolidated Electrical Distributors, as well as in the Most Intelligent Content Optimization category for its work with The University of Kansas Health Center. The entries were selected from more than 140 submissions.

DEG and Provista’s award was for successfully launching a Sitecore portal catering to Provista’s members. The move to a multi-site instance with its website under Sitecore made it easier to share and update content, while also ensuring consistent banding. DEG also integrated Salesforce Sales Cloud and Azure Cloud and embedded Tableau for member-specific reporting, providing members with all of the capabilities they need and none of the content they don’t.
For the second Best Digital Experience Transformation honorable mention, DEG and Consolidated Electrical Distributors launched a new Sitecore website for CED brand Industrial Solutions Network. The ISN site provides a more cohesive website strategy to a B2B brand that previously had a disparate digital ecosystem. The new site features—including Coveo site search, Sitecore forms, location finder, and more—allows customers to better understand the full breadth of CED’s capabilities across every phase of the purchase process.
Lastly, DEG and The University of Kansas Health System received an honorable mention for collaborating to redesign TUKHS’ intranet, named 24/7, for an improved user interface and search experience for more than 12,000 employees. DEG enabled content workflows and integrated the Coveo enterprise search tool and implemented a custom application, Message Center, to display key communications from TUKHS’ comms team in a standardized newsfeed. DEG also overhauled the info architecture and completed a mega-menu design to simplify navigation.
