Overland Park, Kan., September 30, 2020 — DEG and Architectural Woodwork Institute’s innovative Sitecore work helped AWI transform its business, and now Sitecore has taken notice. The solution recently received an honorable mention award at the at the 2020 Sitecore Experience Awards in the Most Impactful Human Connections in a Changing World category.

The Sitecore Experience Awards recognize brands that have built truly customer-centric digital experiences with Sitecore technology. The SEAs are awarded to Sitecore customers and their partners who demonstrate Sitecore solutions that deliver an outstanding experience for all users.

DEG’s solution included digitizing the AWI woodworking standards and educational content using Sitecore to provide a better searchable experience for professionals seeking information. The agency analyzed user behavior for several key membership types and evaluated the content to determine the ideal user experience for each, including consolidating tools and developing a content structure to unify content into one digital solution on Sitecore.

Through the rigorous selection process, each SEA entry was judged by a panel of Sitecore leadership from that entry’s region. There are five regions that evaluated and approved all regional selections based on specific selection and scoring criteria.
